Recently, the Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Bureau issued the “Public Notice on Proposed Projects for the First Batch of Xiamen’s Major Science and Technology Programs in Frontier Technologies and Future Industries through 2025.” A research project jointly submitted by Xiamen King Long United Automotive Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Dazheng Micro‑Nano, Xiamen University of Technology, and the Xiamen Rare Earth Materials Research Institute, has been successfully included in the list of proposed projects under this major science and technology program.

Select the best from among the best.

In accordance with the “Administrative Measures for Municipal-Level Science and Technology Program Projects of Xiamen” and the relevant requirements set forth in the “2025 Xiamen Major Science and Technology Program Project Application Guidelines (Frontier Technologies and Future Industries),” this round of major science and technology program projects has successfully completed the full selection process, including application acceptance, expert review, on-site investigations, and collective deliberations. A total of 14 major science and technology program projects have been proposed for approval citywide (first batch). The successful inclusion of jointly submitted projects not only validates the project’s strategic direction and the team’s capabilities but also underscores the collaborative innovation capacity of universities, enterprises, and research institutions.

Collaboratively Overcoming Challenges

The project will focus on key technological challenges in the field of vehicle‑mounted photovoltaics, leveraging the strengths of local leading enterprises, universities, and research institutes to conduct systematic R&D. It will prioritize addressing critical technical hurdles, including enhancing the stability of flexible perovskite solar cells for automotive applications, improving energy harvesting and management, and achieving seamless integration of photovoltaic systems into vehicle bodies. Dazheng Micro‑Nano will capitalize on its accumulated technological expertise and engineering capabilities, collaborating with partner institutions to complement each other’s strengths and define a clear roadmap for the practical deployment of vehicle‑mounted photovoltaic technology.

Persistent effort over a long period of time

This selection is both an encouragement and a responsibility. Dazheng Micro‑Nano will take it as a new starting point, steadfastly pursuing innovation-driven development and collaborative win‑win outcomes, and contributing to Xiamen’s scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
